The way that Rob works for his clients is a direct reflection of who he is as a person outside of the workplace. He is a long-standing, active member of the community in which he lives and works. Rob is involved in and supports civic and religious organizations, and has deep ties to Athens and Atlanta.
Rob focuses on several aspects of business litigation, including business-organizational disputes, business torts, professional malpractice, errors and omissions claims, insurance-coverage litigation, employment-related contract disputes, as well as general corporate and contract law. As a litigator with more than 20 years of experience, Rob maintains a comprehensive motions, trial, and appeals practice.
Rob received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia, graduating Cum Laude, and his Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He has been licensed to practice law since 1999 and is admitted to practice in all Georgia State, Superior, and Appellate Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern, and Middle Districts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
Rob is actively involved in several areas of professional leadership, such as the Atlanta Bar and the Western Circuit Bar Associations. Mr. Huestis is a frequent speaker at professional lectures and seminars on topics ranging from contract interpretation and litigation to legal ethics and professionalism. He is proud to be included in the Georgia Super Lawyers® list from 2013-2022, and is AV Rated with Martindale Hubbell.
Rob is an active supporter of Georgia Legal Services and a past Litigator for The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation and Atlanta Legal Aid. He is the past Chair of the Litigation Section of the small firm section of the Atlanta Bar Association.
