As Chair of the Litigation Section, I was proud to assist as one of the organizers of A View From the Bench. Organizers and panelists included Jessica Wood, Caren Cloud, Hillary Kinsey Lukacs, Judge Leigh Martin May, Anna Maria Hernandez, Judge Susan E. Edlein, Judge Lillian Nash Caudle, Judge Renata Turner, Judge Sara L. Doyle and yours truly (Rob Huestis,
BBGA shareholder and Chair of the Litigation Section of the Atlanta Bar).
The Law School Outreach Committee, co-chaired by Jessica Wood and Caren Cloud, spearheaded the event at Georgia State University College of Law. Our well-attended evening provided new lawyers and law students with unique insider information from Judges and Court personnel.
The panel discussion centered on how judges typically evaluate attorney work-product and the attorneys themselves in Courtroom interactions. The Judges provided a rousing panel discussion and friendly one-on-one socializing during a reception following the event.
