ATHENS, Ga. – (May 17, 2018) – Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C. is pleased to announce the promotion of one lawyer to shareholder, and two new attorneys who recently joined the team.
Shareholder
Sara Schramm was recently elected a shareholder at BBGA. Sara brings years of experience in mass tort litigation to her practice, which is focused on product liability matters. Sara graduated from the University of Georgia with a dual degree in history and Spanish literature. She then earned her J.D. at Brooklyn Law School in the evening division, while working full time during the day on Fen-Phen diet drug litigation at one of the largest firms in Manhattan. After law school, her New York firm brought her on as a staff attorney overseeing electronic discovery for large litigations until she moved back to Georgia to work on the defense side of asbestos litigation. Prior to her transition to plaintiff practice, Sara lived abroad for a year and spent three years at the University of Georgia School of Law advising students. She is licensed to practice in New York and Georgia.

New Hires
Pam Dillard joined BBGA in January 2018, bringing years of experience. The current focus of Pam’s practice is commercial real estate, but she can also assist clients with residential real estate matters, secured transactions, and business matters. Pam has extensive experience drafting contracts and loan documents, title examination and review, and conducting closings. Pam enjoys the relationships she builds with clients, and strives to handle their work effectively and efficiently. She grew up in Valdosta and received her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1988.
Alexandra Hughes joined the BBGA team in April. Her work encompasses complex Multi-District Litigation cases such as opioid litigation, premises liability, motor vehicle accident cases, and nursing home cases. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science from Vassar College in 2013 and went on to earn her J.D. at Georgia State University College of Law in 2016, graduating summa cum laude. While in law school, Alex was active in law review, moot court, and the Investor Advocacy Clinic. She is also a member of the Order of the Coif. Following graduation, Alex practiced in a large defense firm in Atlanta.
